Trying to Focus

I am having trouble focusing on the many projects that I have going right now. There are many things that I need to be doing but today has not been a very productive day. This morning while I was checking school work I had all of these things that I need to do keep popping into my head so I started a list of them so I could get it off my mind for a little bit. But this afternoon when I sat down at the computer to start working I can't find the motivation.
I just looked at my list and it isn't as bad as it looks.
Sooooooo. Moving on.

I had a bridal consultation on Saturday. It was 4 degrees when I walked into Caribou at West Glen(my west side office) and 1 degree when I left 2 hours and 30 minutes later. This is my second consult with this bride so that was a long consult. But it will be worth it come May.
After I was done there I went to my sisters sandwich shop across from Drake on University, Delancey's. Her cook had to go out of town and so she called to see if I could help. Not because they are so busy but so she isn't alone there at night. Well needless to say she wasn't very busy because of the cold still we sold some sandwiches. A pretty big order was from a family that had all moved out of Iowa. They were back to see there Dad and saw the ad for Tenderloins. They said you can't get Tenderloins any where else but Iowa so they all got Tenderloins.
Then just about 6:30 a couple came walking up the sidewalk and they looked like they were freezing. They opened the door to the shop and came in asking directions to a building on campus. We showed them were the building was and they looked like they couldn't move any more. They were up here from Georgia for something at Drake. They were not dressed to be out in the cold walking. The girl looked like she was going to cry.
We offered to drive them over to the building and since I don't know anything about Tenderloins and Guinea Grinders I drove them over. I heated the car up for a few minutes and started the seat warmers. They were so grateful. Normally the event that they came here for is held in southern Florida or Texas but this year it was here, in Iowa, in below zero weather, in January. Wow did they get ripped off.

Yesterday Kinzie was with me for the day. In the afternoon we went to the new Petland and then to the play place for awhile.

So not much is new. I am tired of the cold and the snow. But who isn't.

I will go back to my list now and see if this little break has helped me with my focusing diffaculties.
