Family Christmas Newsletter
Dear Family and Friends,
We feel so blessed as the year of 2006 comes to a close. We have had a tremdous year of growth in many ways.
Larry is still working for NCMIC, an insurance company for chiropractors. He is a web designer. He also leads praise and worship and together we over see the childrens ministry for our church. We continue to homeschool the two boys still at home, Brendon and Conner. This is our 14th year. This keeps me busy, for the last 3 years I have had the pleasure of having Layne and Sara’s daughter McKenzie with me while they work. I have loved getting to be close to her even thought at times I think I am just a means to get to her Papa whom she adores. Fortunatly we both agree on this subject.
Brendon is going to be 13 in January and in the 7th grade this year. Brendon or Brennie as we all call him is busy in puppets at church and really enjoys it. Last January he got a dog for his birthday. A golden labradoodle named Troy. The appeal of a labradoodle was that they are not supposed to shed much. About the not shedding…not so much. Brendon says it aplies more to second-generation labradoodles. All I know is he is a large 100lb puppy that loves Brendon and they are best friends. So what’s a little hair?
Conner is 141. He is part of our growth this year as he is around 6’4’. As he is grown in height let’s not forget about the feet. Oh those feet.
He enjoys playing basketball and going fishing. He works in the sound ministry at chuch and has taken up some photograpy for fun.
Alex was part of our endings and beginings this year. On June 24th Alex married Mariah Rice and they are now Mr. & Mrs. McGinnis. They are attending college together at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs, CO. Alex will be graduating this May with an Associatives of Art degree in photograpy. A photographer in the family, how great is that. They plan to move back to Iowa and Mariah will continue her to pursue a careet in the medical field. We love Mariah and were glad to welcome her to our family and we are looking forword to getting to know her more.
Layne and Sara are also a part of our growth, in numbers that is. Layne, Sara and McKenzie are now 5 not 3. Codi and Cassie McGinnis arrived on Dec. 4th. Both girls are doing very well and are deeply loved by all. All three of the girls are beautiful. McKenzie will be 4 in January so she will be a great help with her little sisters. Layne and Sara are also busy as the youth pastors at Celebration Family Church.
The word blessed means happy many times over. That would be a good description of how the year of 2006 was for us. May you have a blessed year in 2007. We love you all and are thankful for each of you.
Merry Christmas to you all,
Larry and Brenda
